Job Title:Senior Stereo Roto and Paint QC ArtistLocation:Remote, IndiaAbout the position: We are seeking aSenior Stereo Roto and Paint QC Artistto join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing vendors, Qc-ing, approving submissions and or supporting vendors with precise roto mattes and performing digital paint tasks. Working closely with compositors and other artists, you will ensure the submissions are 100% accurate as requested.Responsibilities: Vendor Management & Shot QC: Oversee vendors tasked with roto and paint work, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards, and perform quality control (QC) on shots to verify accuracy, consistency, and alignment with project goals. Quality Control: Review internal and vendor-submitted work for precision and adherence to creative briefs, making adjustments based on feedback from the team. Vendor support: Partner with vendors for training, support and any direction for successful turnarounds. Rotoscoping: QC vendor roto and perform partial or complete roto tasks for any fixes that are needed for finalizing Clean Plating: Prepare clean plates by removing unwanted elements and ensuring seamless integration with CG assets. Matte Creation: Generate roto mattes (silhouettes) to serve as hold-outs for CG integration, maintaining consistency across sequences. Frame-by-Frame Precision: Adjust silhouettes to match moving plates in sequences with camera movement, ensuring alignment and fluidity. Digital Paint: Perform clean-up tasks such as removing wires, rigs, or unwanted elements from footage, and reconstructing backgrounds as needed. Collaboration: Partner with compositors and VFX supervisors to meet project requirements and deadlines, providing high-quality deliverables.Requirements: Minimum 5+ years of proven experience in the Stereo conversion industry. Experience managing vendors or coordinating with external teams is a must. A portfolio showcasing rotoscoping, matte creation, or paint work (required). Through understanding of 3D workflows or stereoscopic production pipelines. Previous experience in a supervisory or QC role within a Stereo conversion pipeline.Technical Skills: Familiarity with Stereo compositing pipelines and VFX production processes. Proficiency in industry-standard software such as Nuke, Silhouette, After Effects, or Mocha. Strong understanding of rotoscoping techniques, digital paint workflows, compositing and shot QC processesSoft Skills: Keen eye for detail and a strong sense of visual aesthetics. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and maintain high standards under tight deadlines. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.Notes: This is a contract position The role requires the individual to have their own computer set up to remote in.
