Stipend: INR 10,000 Per Month Location: Remote / Bengaluru (flexible) Duration: 3–6 months (extendable) Scope for Full time opportunity post internship About Tecnod8 Tecnod8.AI is aiming to make Industrial Engineering as easy as DIY through Agentic AI. We are an early stage startup supported by FITT-IIT Delhi, NASSCOM GenAI Foundry, IIT Mandi Catalyst + iHub & IIM Bangalore NSRCEL.Role summary We’re looking for a hands-on 3D developer intern to build exploded (explosive) views of industrial equipment, optimize/export interactive assets, deploy them as Unity → WebGL browser experiences.Key TasksCreate accurate 3D models and polished exploded views (mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies, fasteners, connectors). Convert CAD (or recreate from drawings/photos) into lightweight, production-ready assets. Implement interactive assembly/explosion animations and UX (clickable parts, focus, part highlight, step-through disassembly). Export/optimize assets for web delivery (FBX/glTF, LODs, texture atlasing, polygon/mesh optimization). Build Unity scenes and produce WebGL builds that run smoothly in browsers. Integrate Unity UI with backend APIs to fetch/push contextual data and connect to LLM endpoints for on-scene AI assistance (annotations, part lookup, maintenance instructions, Q&A). Profile and optimize for memory, load time, and framerate on typical enterprise laptops/browsers. Version control (Git), document asset pipelines, and deliver sample demos. Collaborate with ML/engineer teammates to wire up prompts, RAG contexts, and UI triggers for GenAI responses. Test on target browsers/devices and iterate on feedback from engineers and customers. skills requiredSolid experience with Unity (C#), including building scenes and producing WebGL builds. Strong 3D modelling skills in Blender / 3ds Max / Maya; comfortable working from CAD/technical drawings or photos. Familiarity with CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) or ability to translate CAD into game assets. Experience exporting/optimizing to glTF/FBX, creating LODs, and texture atlasing. Comfortable with C# scripting, Unity UI, and simple shader/material setup. Practical knowledge of Git and collaborative development workflows. Portfolio demonstrating exploded views, mechanical assemblies, or interactive 3D demos (required).
