Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our client team as a remote contractor based in India. The ideal candidate will have at least 5+ years of hands-on experience in bookkeeping andQuickBooks , with a proven track record of maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, and supporting business operations in a timely and detail-oriented manner.You will be working closely with our U.S.-based management team during U.S. Central Time hours, ensuring that our financial data is accurate, organized, and up to date.Working Hours:Monday to Friday,8:00 AM – 1:00 PM CST IST Equivalent:6:30 PM – 11:30 PM IST Probation Period:3 to 6 monthsKey Responsibilities Manage day-to-day bookkeeping operations in QuickBooks (Online & Desktop, as applicable) Record and categorize all financial transactions, including accounts payable/receivable Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial statements Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review Prepare and maintain general ledger entries Assist with invoicing and payment tracking Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up as needed Coordinate with the U.S. management team to address discrepancies or financial queries Maintain compliance with accounting policies and company procedures Organize and maintain financial records for audit and tax purposesQualifications & Skills Minimum 5 years of proven bookkeeping experience, with a strong focus on QuickBooks Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and/or QuickBooks Desktop Excellent knowledge of bank reconciliation and ledger management High attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Reliable internet connection and suitable remote work setupPreferred Qualifications Experience working with U.S.-based companies Experience with cloud-based accounting tools and integrationsWorking Schedule & Policies Work Hours: Monday to Friday, aligned withUS Central Time (CST)business hours Indian candidates will work evening shifts to ensure time zone overlap Breaks: Short scheduled breaks will be provided during the shift for rest and refreshmentLeave Policy: Leaves must be planned and communicatedat least 7 days in advance Uninformed or last-minute absencesmay result in salary deductions Regular attendance and communication are expected for continued engagement
