Cruise Operations Specialist

As our Cruise Operations Specialist, you will manage end-to-end operational execution of cruise travel- covering pricing, booking systems, allocations, documentation, payments, and supplier coordination. This is not a sales role. It’s designed for someone who understands the machinery behind flawless cruise delivery and can integrate seamlessly with a high-performing curation team from day one. What You Will DoCruise Booking & OperationsManage end-to-end cruise operations- from quotation and booking to documentation, invoicing, and final confirmations.Work across systems like Amadeus Cruise, Polar Online, Cruising Power, Espresso, or equivalent GDS and DMC portals.Coordinate with global cruise partners for confirmations, group blocks, special requests, and post-booking support.Maintain updated rate sheets, offers, and inclusions for all preferred cruise partners.Integration & CoordinationSupport the curation team by integrating cruise elements with air, hotel, and land arrangements into one seamless itinerary.Collaborate closely with product, finance, and operations teams to ensure flawless execution and accountability.Documentation & ComplianceEnsure all documentation, insurance, and visa requirements are completed well before sailing.Keep internal systems, CRM, and reporting dashboards updated and accurate for every booking.Issue Resolution & TroubleshootingProactively manage cabin changes, waitlists, cancellations, and payment holds efficiently and independently.Uphold Vara5’s service and accuracy standards while maintaining client and partner communication.What We Are Looking For5+ years of experience in cruise operations, contracting, or fulfillment.Hands-on experience with luxury and expedition cruise brands.High proficiency in cruise reservation tools and back-office processes.Strong coordination skills and meticulous attention to detail.Calm, structured approach to problem-solving under pressure.Comfortable working cross-functionally with product, finance, and curation teams.Who You AreYou are detail-obsessed, process-driven, and have the discipline to thrive in high-accountability environments.You communicate with clarity, act with reliability, and deliver with precision.You take pride in operational excellence- where timing, accuracy, and service define success.You bring a genuine passion for travel, excellence, and building something extraordinary.Why Vara⁵?Earn what you’re worth.
