Chemical Engineer

Job Purpose: To lead and execute engineering projects for new product development and capacity enhancement by managing project planning, design, execution, monitoring, compliance, and commissioning activities, ensuring timely completion within quality, cost, safety, and regulatory standards.Job ResponsibilitiesProject Initiation:1. Preliminary Engineering & design, Preparation of Basic & conceptual technical package for new Products or Capacity enhancement of Existing Products- Budget, Scheduling, Scope of work, Resources.2. Overall Responsible for all Project Activities-Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring & Controlling, Project closure. Ensuring to complete the Project within defined Quality, time & cost frame.Project Planning & Execution1. Detailed Engineering- Detailed Equipment layouts, Pipe Rack, DST, MST. P&ID's, Preparation of technical URS' in line with Process Requirement, Project Risks Assessment, Gantt chart & critical path preparation & evaluation, Equipment Designing, Isometrics Drawings, Utilities calculations for flow, MOC, Sizing etc.2. Compliance of Engineering Standards & codes, GMP & EHS while Designing of Facility layouts or Equipment’s. or URS’s.3. Planning strategy- Prioritization of jobs, Identification of long, Medium & short lead time items Mechanical Activities Planning, Scheduling, Resource Planning, Contractor evaluation & Finalization.4. Overall Co-ordination with Consultants, Vendors & contractors for Equipment designing, technical discussion & improvement/optimization. offer review & Approval, GAD review & approval in accordance with URS, follow up for FAT & delivery.5. Contractor manpower planning and Job allocations, releasing of job orders to contractors, Issuing of isometrics/material vouchers and other execution drawings to contractors.6. Interdepartmental co-ordination for planning & execution for the successful completion of Projects.7. Coordination with purchase for timely delivery of material and equipment’s.8. Finalization of fire hydrant, safety shower points in coordination with safety department, Project Monitoring & Controlling1. Tracking & monitoring the Project activity tracker w.r.t on daily basis in term of scope, Quality, Cost, schedule & resources. 2. Reporting to senior and management about the project status- indicating the bottlenecks, constraints, finding their solution to avoid any hiccups, seeking management support if required.3. Meeting with deployed contractors & vendors to track status of the activities.4. Meeting with internal teams to track the milestones and push up the discipline heads to meet the deadlines.5. Visiting vendor sites for tracking the Equipment status & FATProject Closure1. Commissioning of Plant (Equipment’s & machineries).2. Plant Trouble shooting & re-engineering if at all needed.3. cGMP & EHS Documentation-Equipment Qualifications: URS, FAT, SAT, DQ, IQ.4. Successful handover to User with all compliance of snag list.5. Bill closure, NOC certificate to contractors/vendors.6. Capitalization & final closure.Qualification: B. Tech Chemical EngineeringExperience: 2 to 7 years
