Job Description – Communications, Outreach & Public Relations SpecialistQualifications:Master degree in Mass Communication/ Strategic Communication/ Public Relations/ Journalism/ Media Science/ Media Management/ or related discipline from any Government recognized university/ institution.Experience:- Minimum of 7 years of work experience in Public Sector, preferably in Social Sector is required. - At least 5 years of mandatory experience in similar role. - Demonstrable experience of working on one or more areas like communication strategy design, programme communication, advocacy communication, public relations, media Management Sound knowledge and prior work experience in initiatives related to women’s economic empowerment in West Bengal is desired. Prior experience of working in any bilateral/ multilateral funded project or Externally Aided Project will be a plus. - Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills. - Excellent communication (written & verbal) in English; proficiency in spoken and reading Bangla required. - Ability to synthesize complex issues into clear, compelling narratives. - Strong organizational and multitasking abilities under tight deadlines.Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement an effective communication & outreach strategy. - Prepare briefing materials, media releases, presentations, and reports for internal and external audiences. - Conduct research and data analysis on policies, CSR strategies, and media engagement plans. - Track and recommend global best practices for adaptation in WEP initiatives. - Support event planning, stakeholder engagement, and knowledge-sharing activities. - Ensure effective collaboration, documentation, and reporting for high-level meetings and outreach initiatives.
