Senior BIM Technician - Plumbing & Fire Protection

Role SummaryTo work as part of our Services Team to provide CAD/BIM support to engineering projects. The successful candidate’s role will be as an MEP Revit Technician within the WSP India in our Noida/Bangalore office producing BIM models and detailed engineering designs and construction drawings. You can expect to be active on a number of projects at any given time. You will report to CAD/BIM Manager in Project functionally and reporting to Line manager operationally.ResponsibilitiesPrepare MEP 3D Revit coordinated modelsClash detection and clash resolutionCreate Parametric Revit FamiliesProvide specialist support to design teams preparing analysis and design modelsSupport design teams and bid teams with the creation of 3D visualisationsSupport design teams and bid teams with creation of 4D models / visualisationsPrepare quantities for use in BoQs from the 3D model.Key Competencies / Skills:Mandatory skills Experience in the use of the following software is essential:REVIT MEPAutoCAD (2D and 3D)NavisworksExperience in the use of the following software is desirable but not essential:AutoDesk 3ds MAXMS ExcelMS WordThe candidate must:Have good English communication skillsBe able to work closely with colleagues at a senior level.Be computer literate.Have a valid passport and be prepared to be seconded for up to 3 months as projects dictate (base will be NOIDA).Ability to plan and manage his/her workloadLateral thinkingDesired skills Cultural awareness, conscientious and an open mind and excellent communication skills are essential requirements for the role.QualificationsDiploma in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical engineering is preferred in addition to Draughting qualifications.
