Job Description – Sheet Metal OperatorJob Title: Sheet Metal OperatorIndustry: Aerospace / Aviation ManufacturingExperience: 1–3 YearsQualification: ITI Pass Out / Apprenticeship CompletedLocation: IndiaJob OverviewWe are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Sheet Metal Operator with hands-on experience in aerospace sheet metal fabrication and assembly processes. The candidate will be responsible for manufacturing aero-structure sheet metal parts while ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and engineering standards.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform sheet metal forming, trimming, dressing, drilling, and shape correction activities.Operate machines such as NC bending machines, rubber press machines, and shearing machines.Interpret and execute jobs based on 2D & 3D engineering drawings and GD&T requirements.Handle sheet metal fabrication activities for aerospace components with high dimensional accuracy.Use measuring instruments and sheet metal tools to maintain required tolerances and dimensions.Prepare and mark sheet metals using scriber, divider, square, foot rule, and other layout tools as per drawings.Work with different types of aircraft-grade sheet metals, gauges, and material specifications.Support heat treatment processes including annealing, solutionizing, and aging.Ensure proper usage of tool blocks, drill jigs, and fixtures during manufacturing operations.Maintain workplace standards by following OEE, 5S, TPM, Lean Manufacturing, and safety practices.Adhere to AS9100D aerospace quality standards and company procedures.Required Skills & CompetenciesStrong knowledge of engineering drawings, GD&T concepts, and dimensional inspection.Hands-on experience in sheet metal fabrication and aerospace manufacturing processes.Knowledge of heat treatment and material handling processes.Familiarity with aerospace sheet metal tools, jigs, fixtures, and inspection instruments.Ability to perform precision drilling, trimming, and corrective operations.Good understanding of quality systems and continuous improvement practices.Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.Qualification & ExperienceITI Pass Out in relevant trade or completed apprenticeship.1–3 years of relevant experience in sheet metal fabrication/manufacturing.Experience in aerospace or aviation manufacturing will be preferred.Preferred KnowledgeAS9100D Quality StandardsLean Manufacturing PracticesTPM & 5S MethodologiesAerospace Sheet Metal Fabrication StandardsCall : 7738448069/ RaniEmail Id :
