Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) Technical Consultant with strong hands-on experience in X++ development. The role involves designing, developing, and supporting customizations, extensions, and integrations within D365 F&O, working closely with functional consultants and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance ERP solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesD365 F&O Technical DevelopmentDesign and develop X++ extensions using best practices (extension-based development, no over-layering).Customize and enhance D365 F&O modules to meet business requirements.Develop and modify forms, tables, classes, enums, reports (SSRS), and batch jobs.Implement business logic using Chain of Command (CoC) and event handlers.Integrations & Data ManagementDevelop and support integrations using OData services, REST APIs, and custom services.Design and execute data migration and data management using DMF, data entities, and Excel/CSV templates.Handle inbound and outbound data integrations with external systems.Reporting & Batch ProcessingDesign and develop SSRS reports and document handling solutions.Build and optimize batch jobs and background processing for performance and scalability.Performance, Security & QualityOptimize X++ code for performance, scalability, and maintainability.Implement and support role-based security, duties, privileges, and data security.Perform code reviews, debugging, and root cause analysis for production issues.Collaboration & DeliveryWork closely with functional consultants to understand requirements and provide technical solutions.Prepare technical design documents and deployment artifacts.Support UAT, go-live, and post-production support activities.Required Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.4–8+ years of experience in D365 F&O / AX technical development.Strong hands-on expertise in X++ programming.Experience with extension-based development, CoC, and event handlers.Good understanding of D365 F&O architecture and application lifecycle.Hands-on experience with integrations and data entities.Experience using Visual Studio and Azure DevOps for D365 development.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)Experience with Power Platform integrations (Power Automate, Dataverse).Knowledge of Azure services (Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus).Exposure to CI/CD pipelines for D365 deployments.D365 F&O Technical certifications.Key CompetenciesStrong technical ownershipClean coding and performance mindsetCollaboration with functional and business teamsStructured problem-solvingCommitment to best practices
