Job Description – MuleSoft Senior DeveloperRole: MuleSoft Senior DeveloperSkill Set: MuleSoft IntegrationLocation: Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai, PuneExperience: 5+OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled MuleSoft Senior Developer with strong expertise in designing, developing, and delivering enterprise-grade integration solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience with MuleSoft integrations, REST/SOAP APIs, and end-to-end SDLC in an Agile environment. This role requires strong technical knowledge, problem‑solving abilities, and the capability to work in a fast-paced environment.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain complex MuleSoft integrations and APIs.Create and implement REST and SOAP APIs and integrations across multiple systems.Integrate a portfolio of SaaS applications using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.Prepare detailed design documentation, including runbooks and impact analysis.Support and enhance the MuleSoft architecture involving System, Process, and Experience APIs.Participate in the full SDLC of MuleSoft projects following Agile methodologies.Develop orchestration APIs for scalable integrations.Conduct code reviews, develop JUnit test cases, and ensure code quality.Implement integrations using Queues, Topics, HTTP, File System, DBs, SFTP, and other connectors.Utilize Mule components such as File, SMTP, FTP/SFTP, and Database connectors.Develop RESTful and SOAP web services based on SOA architecture.Design and implement REST APIs using JSON and XML data formats.Build and document APIs using RAML in Anypoint Platform.Work with transformers, exception handling, testing, and security (including OAuth).Write and execute MUnit test cases for validating Mule flows.Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve integration-related issues.Must‑Have SkillsExpert-level experience with REST and SOAP APIs.Strong hands-on experience building MuleSoft integrations and APIs.Experience integrating SaaS applications.Proficiency in designing and implementing APIs on MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.Strong understanding of integration patterns and connectors (File, FTP/SFTP, Database, SMTP, etc.).Experience with RAML, JSON, XML, and SOA architecture.Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.Experience with SDLC, Agile methodologies, and documentation standards.Hands-on experience with API security including OAuth.Proficiency with MUnit testing, JUnit, and code reviews.Good‑to‑Have SkillsExposure to Mule 4 architecture, and certifications like MCPA or MCIA.Experience with performance optimization, scalability, reliability, and monitoring of MuleSoft integrations.Knowledge of Anypoint API Manager, Runtime Manager, Anypoint MQ, and Exchange.Deployment experience across higher environments and best practices in environment management.Experience with Runtime Fabric or Kubernetes.Familiarity with platform upgrades, security patches, and maintenance.Knowledge of securing data (PGP, SSH, OAuth, HTTPS, SFTP).Behavioral CompetenciesStrong communication and documentation skills.Ability to collaborate across teams and manage multiple priorities.Proactive approach with a strong ownership mindset.High attention to detail with strong analytical abilities.
