Computational Fluid Dynamics Engineer

The CFD Engineer will be responsible for performing Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Simulations to analyze and optimize aerodynamic, thermal, and fluid flow performance of componentsand systems. The role involves setting up and running simulations, post-processing results, andproviding design insights to improve performance, efficiency, and reliability.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform advanced CFD simulations to evaluate aerodynamic performance, stability, drag, and lift characteristics.Generate high-quality mesh and conduct turbulence modeling using ANSYS Fluent, ICEM CFD, Star-CCM+, or OpenFOAM.Support flight testing through pre- and post-flight CFD validations and correlation with experimental data.Collaborate with propulsion, avionics, and structures teams for system integration and design refinement.Present analysis, design findings, and test results in internal technical reviews and support documentation for regulatory submissions.Ensure numerical accuracy, mesh independence, and convergence for all analyses.Support prototype testing by correlating CFD predictions with test data and refining simulation models.Stay up to date with the latest CFD methodologies, turbulence models, and solver improvements.Good to have Hands-on experience in UAV development, including VTOL and fixed-wing drones.Experience with wind tunnel testing and correlation with CFD data.What we offerOpportunity to work on cutting-edge UAV designs with real-world field testing and deployment.Career growth opportunities in a fast-growing aerospace startup environment.Collaborative, hands-on environment with exposure to all stages of UAV development from design to flight testing.
