Your work will make history and help millions of lives each day come together around the joys of food and inspire their well-being.Job Summary:As a key member of Engineering Ops team, you will take on overall operational responsibility for the systems and processes that are instrumental in generating and delivering products to our valued partner, Albertsons. Your role is pivotal in ensuring seamless data operations and includes the following key responsibilities:Data Pipeline Management & OperationsData Artifact Generation and DeliveryData Quality AssuranceProcess OptimizationContinuous Integration (CI) AutomationInfrastructure Collaboration:Support and Optimization: Provide expert support for the data pipelines that generate our suite of data products. Continuously fine-tune and optimize these pipelines to enhance performance and efficiency.Troubleshooting: Swiftly identify and resolve issues to ensure the seamless delivery of data products.Support and Troubleshooting: Play a critical role in supporting the end-to-end data artifact generation and delivery process. Address failures and delays promptly and effectively.Ad Hoc Support: Be responsive to ad hoc data needs to facilitate data delivery on demand.Defect Investigation: Act as the first line of defense for data defect investigation. Identify, investigate, and resolve data anomalies to maintain data quality and integrity.Monitoring and Efficiency: Continuously monitor all data jobs and processes. Identify opportunities for efficiency enhancements in terms of job scheduling, reducing dependencies, and improving functionality.Automation: Drive the advancement of our continuous integration practices by automating the build, test, and deployment life cycle. Streamline and standardize CI/CD processes for enhanced software delivery.Scheduling Optimization: Collaborate closely with the infrastructure team to maximize efficiency and resource usage through optimized job scheduling.Qualifications:To excel in this role, candidates should meet the following qualifications and skills:A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field (foreign degree equivalent may be considered).Four (4) years of professional experience in data engineering, BI development and engineering, or data architecture.Proficiency in SQL programming languages.Experience with Spark, Scala, and/or the Hadoop ecosystem is a significant plus.Prior experience in a technical operations role, particularly in a big data environment (3-4 years preferred).Demonstrated flexibility in managing changing priorities.Strong communication skills and a proven track record of successful cross-functional collaboration.Must have Skills:SQLPythonGCP / Bigquery
