Job Title: Head Technical – Electrical & Electronics (Heavy Electric Vehicle)Role Description: As Head – Electrical & Electronics Technical (Heavy Electric Vehicle) – individual will drive all technology and product-related functions for the organization. The person must have experience in technical leadership in design, development and analysis of electrical & electronics systems and controls. Delivering high-quality outcomes and responsible for driving technical innovation, managing engineering projects, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality products and solutions for the organization as per business needs.Ideal Experience: 15 – 20 years of experience in a Technology and Product leadership capacity in a business related to energy storage, and/or automotive with experience of vast and complex system development.Education: B.E./ M.Tech /Electrical Engineering from a premium Institute.Roles and Responsibilities:Must have in-depth knowledge of Automotive/Charging Station Hardware ( electrical, electronics, embedded systems) and SOFTWARE (design, development, testing of drivers & firmware) engineering.Designing, developing, prototyping and testing of Electric Vehicle batteries, powertrain and other electromechanical components.Creates functional strategies & specific objectives for sub functions. Develops budgets, policies & procedures to support functional infrastructure.Conduct feasibility studies and prototyping to evaluate new technologies and approaches.Involves planning, managing, and supervising the design, development, testing and integration of systems, products, or processes (Hardware & Software).Create and maintain internal dashboards and MISs and support operations and account teams with necessary data for smooth running of the business.Set up the right analytics infrastructure to allow the organization’s ability to scale up and monitor operations/ assets.Develop innovative pricing models in close conjugation with the account and marketing teams.Understand the company’s strategy and performance needs and help develop methodologies.With the group members, create and sustain a dynamic group culture that rewards innovation, creativity, risk taking and success.Skills and Experience :Very Good Experience of Converters like AC/DC , DC/DC and DC/AC and different topologies of capacities of100KW or more . Power Modules. Knowledge of Paralleling Power Modules up to 16 Nos.Knowledge of Connectivity from Grid and related Electrical and Safety Protections and LV Switchgear up to 500KW like MCCB,SPD etc.Good Understanding of Grid Regulations, Disturbances etc.Very Good Understanding of Embedded Hardware/ Software from Automotive companies likeNXP , ST , Infineon etc.Interface knowledge of different types of sensors with protocols like MODBUS, RS485, Ethernet, SPI,I2C etc.Basic Understanding of Automotive Interfaces and protocols like CAN , GB/T , CCS1/2. Related Connectors.Very Good Knowledge of Industrial , Automotive and Power ConnectorsUnderstanding of Hardware connectivity of HMI with Single Board Computer(SBC), Industrial Computer(Lenovo Think Edge) etc. With Interfaces like HDMI , USBGood Hardware Knowledge and Basic Software of PLC like types of Input , Output , Digital, Analog , Levels etc.Key Attributes:A reputation for competence, strong work ethics and a high energy approach.Plan for growth of the practice and liaise with the necessary stakeholders to execute the same Very strong technology background in Product Engineering including end-end (electromechanical, firmware, drivers, applications) product development on traditional and new technologies.A hands-on natural leader, advisor, consultant and strategist with the demeanor, business maturity, intellect and integrity required to establish immediate credibility.A collaborative individual who is motivated by working effectively with others and forging consensus. Someone described it as /"good with people/" and /"down-to-earth”.Track record of developing new products, technical services and approaches, Experience in taking a business from concept to reality, ideally gained in start-up or new business development environment.Demonstrated experience in a product development and mass deployment environment involving multiple technologies like electric power train integration, energy storage, power electronics, embedded software, mechatronics, automation/robotics, information networks and data management.Demonstrated experience both as a strategist and tactical operating leader, possessing strong problem solving and project management skills.Has exceptional capability to set up and maintain analytical and data science tools/ dashboards/ reporting systems from scratch.Capable of building strong product teams and delivering the right products to cater to customer needs while keeping business objectives in mind.Exceptional management skills in recruiting, developing, retaining, and motivating strong management teams.Possess an open and flexible mindset toward culturally and technically diversified global and multicultural working environments.Has historically been able to build cohesive, diverse teams.
