Job Description:1. Responsible for Automotive CAS & Class A Surfacing in Alias /ICEM SurfProduce finished Class A models to specifications with minimal supervision.Able to develop the design intent from rough sketches and mesh scan data, section data & engineering Surfaces.Develop surfaces with engineering requirements such as draft angle, minimum radius, part thickness and gap.Experience in closing volumes with high surface quality & required constraints.Review and implement changes in Class A release required for part production.2. Use digital tools, values, and procedures to deliver surface data with speed and accuracy.3. Create renderings and visualizations to support design and management reviews.4. Collate and exchange data for digital model assembly for prototyping and feasibility.5. Deliver data to downstream departments and assist with data transfer and development.6. Must be an integral part of the product development process.7. Effectively communicate with cross functional teams8. To plan and execute the tasks in order to achieve project milestones9. Ability to work independently or with the team as and when requiredQualificationsBachelor’s degree in digital Modelling/Product Design/Transportation Design/Mechanical Engineering.4-6 years of experience.Proficiency in Autodesk Alias is necessary with knowledge of delivering quickly to quality surfaces on specific needs.Knowledge of ICEM, UG NX, Catia, Blender, Maya and other 3D modelling tools will be a plus.Knowledge / experience in Poly modelingAutomotive Virtual prototyping: - VRED (gap analysis, clipping)Experience in Rendering: - Blender, VRED, Key shotPost-Production & sketching: Photoshop is an additional requisite.Knowledge in Microsoft word, PowerPoint, Adobe In designUnderstanding of Automotive surfacing with sensitivity to proportion, surface, and detailingUnderstand the functional and ergonomic requirements to iterate and deliver the design intent in the form of surfaces.Should have passion to understand the latest trends in surfaces and be able to solve the complex surfaces and interfaces.Patience to reiterate and deliver and self-driven
