Founded by a team from IIT Madras, GalaxEye prides itself on cutting-edge technology and an entrepreneurial culture.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role for a Head of AI & CV in Bengaluru, India. The person will be responsible for leading the AI strategy and development within the company, with a focus on designing and implementing cutting-edge AI models for satellite imagery. Day-to-day tasks will include overseeing projects related to computer vision and natural language processing, developing advanced pattern recognition methodologies, and mentoring a team of AI professionals. Collaboration with other departments to optimize AI solutions for geospatial applications is a core element of this role.QualificationsStrong foundation in Computer Science and Data ScienceStrong Foundation in Pattern Recognition and Machine LearningAdvanced experience in Computer Vision for image processingProven leadership and team management skillsProficiency with state-of-the-art computer vision architectures (CNNs, transformers) and frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow) specialized for remote sensingKnowledge of scalable AI model deployment on cloud and edge computing platforms, optimized for real-time or near-real-time satellite data processingHands-on experience with geospatial data formats (GeoTIFF, NetCDF), GIS tools, and spatial databasesPh.D. or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field is preferredExperience in the space tech industry, geospatial analytics or Bio-medical image processing
