Job Description:

The Assistant Retail Planner will support the retail planning team in managing inventory levels, analysing sales trends, and coordinating with various departments to ensure optimal stock levels across stores and online channels. This role involves working closely with Operations, merchandisers, and supply chain teams to drive sales and enhance customer satisfaction through effective planning and stock allocation.Key Responsibilities:· Inventory Management & Allocation:Assist in monitoring inventory levels across stores and e-commerce platforms to ensure adequate stock and timely replenishment.Track product performance by category, store, and region to optimize stock allocation and maximize sales.Collaborate with the supply chain and logistics teams to track incoming shipments and ensure timely stock availability.· Sales & Trend Analysis:Support the planning team by analysing sales data, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights to improve forecasting accuracy.Prepare and maintain regular reports on key performance metrics such as sales, stock levels, sell-through rates, and markdown effectiveness.Collaborate with retail and e-commerce teams to adjust planning based on real-time performance and seasonal trends.· Merchandising Support:Coordinate with cluster and the merchandising team to ensure new product launches align with store and online demand.Help prepare seasonal assortments and create planograms based on sales forecasts and visual merchandising guidelines.· Forecasting & Replenishment:Assist in forecasting demand by analysing historical data and current trends to help the team anticipate future stock needs.Manage replenishment plans to avoid stockouts and overstock situations while maintaining efficient inventory turnover.· Cross-functional Collaboration:Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and store teams, to align inventory plans with promotional events and marketing campaigns.Provide support in coordinating store openings, closures, and seasonal events from an inventory planning perspective.· System & Data Management:Maintain accurate and up-to-date data in inventory management systems.Ensure the timely update of product, store, and inventory data, and assist with system-related tasks and data entry as needed.Qualifications:Education: Bachelor’s degree in Fashion or related field.Experience: 1-2 years of experience in retail planning, inventory management, or a related role preferred.Skills:Proficiency in Excel; knowledge of ERP and inventory management systems is a plus.Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent organizational and time-management skills.Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.Good communication skills to relay information clearly and effectively.Additional Requirements:A proactive and self-motivated approach to tasks, with a strong focus on continuous improvement.Ability to adapt to a fast-paced retail environment and manage multiple priorities.
