Driven by technology and innovation, we’re expanding into new categories while remaining committed to improving last-mile connectivity and empowering livelihoods at scale.Opportunities don't happen, you create them!About the Role: The Manager – Policy and Corporate Affairs will be responsible for developing and implementing policy strategies, engaging with regulatory authorities, and managing corporate affairs to ensure a favorable policy environment for Rapido’s operations. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of public policy, government relations, and regulatory frameworks related to mobility, transportation, and urban development.Responsibilities:Ensure timely and accurate preparation and filing of all applicable tax returns (GST, TDS, corporate income tax, equalization levy, etc.)Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual tax compliance calendars.Review tax computations, reconciliations, and related workings prepared by the team or consultants.Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess impact on the organization.Implement necessary changes to compliance processes.Oversee the process of routine compliance hygiene checks and circulate the technical memoranda summarizing findings and recommendations to the Management.Supervise and mentor tax staff, providing training and guidance on tax issues.Coordinate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely filing of returns and tax reporting.Ensure appropriate documentation is maintained to support tax positions and availment of credits/deductionsCommunicate effectively and provide guidance to the team members in implementing the newer provisions notified by the Department.Prepare and present consolidate reports to senior management on monthly tax compliances.Implement checklists and controls to ensure accurate reporting of details in tax returns and ensure balances are duly reconciled with books in a timely manner.Qualifications:Education:Qualified Chartered Accountant with 2-3 years of relevant experience in the field of taxation.Strong understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements.Skills:Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Proficient in tally and MS Office.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
