Senior Designer _ Hospitality Projects

As part of our Lifestyle Studio, you will join a centre of excellence dedicated to the successful delivery of hospitality and residential projects across the Asia-Pacific, Middle East, and globally. This studio offers a unique opportunity to collaborate on some of the most exciting projects worldwide, working directly alongside teams of experts in other offices to provide clients with seamless experiences of top-quality design and technical detailing.As a Senior Technical Designer with Interior Design expertise in the Hospitality and Residential sectors, you will combine creativity and technical knowledge with a deep understanding of the industry to produce functionally beautiful spaces for clients. You will collaborate with Design Directors and a wider team of architects and designers to deliver exceptional projects, leveraging your Revit skills and technical acumen to drive projects from concept through completion.You will lead teams to develop design solutions and coordinate design through detail development and construction documentation phases. Success in this role comes from your ability to translate concept design presentations into developed documentation across SD, DD, tender, and construction phases, while researching artistic and technical issues as they arise. Your strong work ethic, collaborative mindset, and mentoring skills will make this an excellent environment to nurture your career.What You Will DoLead the technical design of projects including programming client needs, concept development, space planning, and construction documentation.Guide storyboarding through visioning, planning, and material selection.Direct the production of drawings and specifications.Contribute to the maintenance and oversight of project manuals and specifications.Manage multiple aspects of team and project coordination, including documentation with structural, MEP, lighting, AV, landscape, and civil consultants.Support client and team communication and expectation management.Produce graphic presentations, plans, elevations, details, and sections through to detailed construction drawings.Resolve complex technical and design issues with innovative and practical solutions.Ensure delivery of documents with clear design intent and technical quality.Actively contribute to the financial performance of projects.Integrate sustainability into every project, defining targets with clients and teams, and supporting ESG goals.Encourage sustainability learning and contribute to office initiatives and programs.Lead quality assurance for each submission.QualificationsAdvanced degree in Architecture or Interior Design preferred.15+ years of related architecture and design experience, with proven ability to deliver projects from start to completion.Extensive experience in high-end hospitality and residential projects, including base building and interior design.Strong knowledge of building codes, consultant coordination, and client communication during construction administration.Expertise in materials, construction techniques, and technical documentation.Deep knowledge of interior detailing and material implications.Understanding of design stages, deliverables, and detailing requirements.Highly proficient in Revit, Rhino, Enscape; experience with Excel and computational tools (Grasshopper/Dynamo) is a plus.Ability to lead teams and foster collaborative relationships with clients and partners.Commitment to mentoring junior team members.Strong organizational skills with flexibility to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Creative, technically skilled, with a strong portfolio showcasing both.Ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines efficiently.Knowledge of sustainable design principles required; LEED, WELL, Fitwel, LFA, or similar accreditations preferred.Experience leading sustainability-focused projects, ideally with certifications such as LEED, WELL, Fitwel, Net Zero, or Living Building Challenge.Design Technology QualificationsDeep expertise in Autodesk Revit for design authoring, documentation, data extraction, and project delivery.Strong knowledge of BIM project setup, strategic planning, and troubleshooting.Experience with BIM collaboration, cloud-based markups, consultant coordination, and clash detection.Familiarity with Information Management tools such as Aconex, Asite, Newforma.Working knowledge of Rhinoceros and interoperability workflows between Rhino & Revit.Experience with real-time rendering, material creation, and integrated BIM workflows.Basic familiarity with computational design tools (Grasshopper/Dynamo).Understanding of simulation principles and application of results.Expertise in VR, AR, and XR for client presentations, consultant coordination, and design reviews.Applications We Work WithDesign Authoring: Revit, Rhino, AutoCAD, NavisworksCollaboration: BIM360Computational Design: Grasshopper, DynamoBuilding Performance Simulation: Insight, Sefaira, Diva, Ladybug ToolsVisualization: Vray, Enscape, Twinmotion, 3DSMaxGraphics & Productivity: Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office SuiteExperiential: Unreal Engine, UnityDevelopment: C#, Python
