About the RoleThe Senior Manager/Manager – Finance will be responsible for managing end-to-end financial operations, statutory compliance, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls. This role requires strong hands-on expertise in accounting, audits, taxation, and stakeholder coordination, along with the ability to support management in strategic and financial decision-making. Key Responsibilities Financial Accounting & Reporting Oversee day-to-day finance and accounting operations. Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closures. Prepare and review MIS reports, variance analysis, and management dashboards. Ensure compliance with Ind AS and applicable Accounting Standards. Budgeting & Financial Planning Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and periodic re-forecasting exercises. Analyse financial performance against budgets and provide actionable insights. Support management with financial modeling and business analysis. Taxation & Statutory Compliance Ensure timely and accurate compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory filings. Coordinate with tax consultants for assessments, audits, and regulatory notices. Monitor changes in tax laws and ensure timely implementation. Audit & Internal Controls Manage statutory, internal, and tax audits end-to-end. Strengthen internal controls and SOPs to mitigate financial and compliance risks. Ensure timely closure of audit observations and action points. Cash Flow & Treasury Management Monitor cash flows, working capital, receivables, and payables. Manage banking relationships and oversee fund utilization. Support treasury activities including payments, reconciliations, and cash flow forecasting. Stakeholder & Team Management Act as a key point of contact for auditors, consultants, banks, and internal stakeholders. Mentor and manage junior finance team members. Coordinate closely with operations, HR, compliance, and leadership teams. Key Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of financial accounting, taxation, and statutory compliance Experience in budgeting, MIS reporting, and financial analysis Hands-on experience with ERP systems (Zoho Books / Tally / SAP / Oracle or similar) Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills High attention to detail with a strong ownership mindset Qualifications Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Finance, or Accounting (mandatory) Preferred Experience 3–8 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting roles Experience in regulated industries such as insurance, financial services, or startups (if applicable) Prior exposure to IRDAI / RBI / SEBI or other statutory reporting (preferable)
