Finance ControllerFinance - Full TimeLocation- Bengaluru Experience - 5-7 yearsBudget- 32LPAPosition Overview: The Finance Controller will be responsible for overseeing the company’s financial reporting, accounting operations, compliance, and internal controls. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate financial close, strong governance, and scalable finance processes aligned with both I-GAAP and US GAAP requirements. The ideal candidate is a hands-on Chartered Accountant with startup or IT/HealthTech experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to partner closely with business and leadership teams. Key Responsibilities:Financial Close & ReportingResponsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual close of books, including preparation of:MIS.Profit & Loss statements.Cash flow statements.Circulate financial reports to management and investors on a timely basis.Prepare and review variance analysis (monthly, quarterly, and annual) and support management discussions. Balance Sheet & Accounting ControlsResponsible for monthly balance sheet schedules, including GL to Sub-GL reconciliation with proper ageing.Review and monitor accounting controls related to:Assets and liabilities.Income and expense recognition.Ledger scrutiny and reconciliations.Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records. Financial Statements & ComplianceResponsible for closure of:Standalone financial statements.Subsidiary financial statements.Consolidated financial statements in accordance with I-GAAP and US GAAP for limited reviews and annual audits.Handle compliances under:Companies Act, 2013.SEBI (LODR) Regulations, 2015.Ensure adherence to ICFR (Internal Controls over Financial Reporting). Audit & Statutory CoordinationLiaise with statutory, internal, and tax auditors for timely completion of audits.Address audit queries and ensure proper documentation and closure. Accounting Operations OversightOversee and review end-to-end accounting operations including:Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.Revenue accounting.Receipts and bank reconciliations.Customer and vendor reconciliations.GST, TDS, and statutory compliances.Fixed assets accounting.Inter-company transactions.Ensure bookkeeping accuracy while supervising the accounting team. Business Partnering & Process ImprovementPublish and maintain management dashboards, including:Ageing reports.Provisions and old balances.Revenue growth analysis.Cash flow trends.Act as Finance SPOC for business teams, providing guidance on finance processes and transactions.Suggest appropriate accounting treatment for new business transactions in line with applicable accounting standards.Drive process standardization, automation, and scalability of finance operations.Strengthen internal controls and reduce manual dependencies.Requirements:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Data-driven decision-making mindset.Solid business acumen to understand operational and commercial drivers.Entrepreneurial attitude with a strong sense of ownership.Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Qualifications:Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent qualifications with ~7 years of experience in Controllership or similar roles.Prior experience in the IT / SaaS / HealthTech / Startup environment preferred.Big 4 or US Healthcare experience is a strong advantage.Strong working knowledge of I-GAAP; US GAAP experience is mandatory or highly preferred.
