Sync & Licensing Associate (Commission-Only)

Hermit Poems LLC is an independent record label dedicated to global underground music - a home for boundary-pushing, multi-genre artists creating authentic sounds that deserve to be heard on the biggest stages. We own and control our masters and publishing, and focus on licensing finished music and beats for film, digital content, games, and branded use.We’re looking for a Sync & Licensing Associate to help commercialize our catalogue through sync placements and licensing opportunities worldwide.ResponsibilitiesProactively pitch Hermit Poems’ existing multi-genre catalogue and beats to music supervisors, advertising agencies, production houses, music libraries, brands, and digital platforms to secure sync and licensing placements.Identify, build, and maintain relationships with music supervisors, creative directors, producers, A&R teams, and sync/licensing stakeholders across global markets.Source, qualify, and manage inbound and outbound licensing opportunities across film, digital content, advertising, gaming, and creator platforms.Coordinate licensing discussions, usage terms, and approvals with the label, ensuring fast turnaround and clear communication.Track and manage all pitches, leads, negotiations, and closed deals using the label’s CRM () to maintain full visibility on opportunities.Explore secondary commercial opportunities for catalogue songs, including pitching to labels, artists, and producers for covers, remixes, and collaborations.Stay informed on sync trends, briefs, and content needs across entertainment, advertising, and digital media.Provide regular reporting on outreach activity, pipeline progress, closed deals, and revenue potential.QualificationsExperience or strong working knowledge of music licensing and sync, including pitching, submissions, and rights basics (master/publishing, usage, territory).Ability to research and identify sync opportunities, music supervisors, agencies, brands, and production teams.Comfortable coordinating submissions, managing negotiations, and handling basic contract discussions with label support.Strong written and verbal communication skills for professional outreach and relationship-building.Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently in a remote, commission-only role.Familiarity with the global underground and independent music scene is a plus.Bachelor’s degree in Music Business, Communications, Marketing, or related field preferred, but experience and initiative matter more.Contract DetailsTenure: 6 months (freelance/contract)Conversion: Potential to transition into a full-time position based on performanceLocation: Fully Remote (global candidates welcome)Working Hours: Full autonomy and flexible hoursCompensation: Commission Only (20-25% per closed deal)Why Join Us?At Hermit Poems, we’re not just a label - we’re a movement for underground music with a global vision.
