Sr. Azure SQL Developer

About the Job We are seeking a highly skilled SQL Developer with Azure Data Engineer expertise to join our growing data team. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in SQL development along with hands-on experience in SSIS or Azure Data Factory (ADF). This role will focus on building, optimising, and maintaining robust data solutions to support business operations and analytics.Core Responsibilities Develop and optimize T-SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions to support data processing and reporting. Design and implement ETL/ELT pipelines using SSIS or Azure Data Factory (ADF). Perform data modelling, database design, and query performance tuning. Manage data workflows between on-premise systems and Azure cloud platforms. Ensure high performance, availability, and reliability of data solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable data pipelines. Maintain detailed documentation for processes, data models, and technical solutions. Adhere to best practices for data security, compliance, and governance.Required Skills Strong experience in SQL Server development (T-SQL, indexing, query optimisation). Hands-on experience with SSIS and/or Azure Data Factory (ADF) for building data pipelines. Proficient in ETL/ELT processes, data integration, and data transformation. Solid understanding of relational database concepts, data quality, and error handling.Nice to have Exposure to Azure Synapse Analytics or Microsoft Fabric. Microsoft Azure certifications. Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps, or Agile methodologies. Experience with Power BI or SSRS reporting tools.Qualifications Minimum 5+ years of experience in the software industry B.Tech/M.Tech in CS/IT, or related field. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
