Regional Quality Engineer

This role supports product quality and process improvement through technical expertise, cross-functional collaboration, and application of Goodyear standards. Leads innovation, risk mitigation, and new product integration to meet customer and business requirements. What You'll Do: Link with product council, product team to ensure, new technical solutions are introduced meeting quality standards. Ensure new product industrialization is handled meeting quality Possess a thorough understanding of available tire technology, manufacturing processes and quality standards. Work on teams to introduce new technologies in plant to meet requirements. Avoid inappropriate levels of risk. Develop and advise others on processes within functional group. Engage in internal collaboration (product council, project team) and cross divisional processes. Anticipate and identify problems proactively. Develop and advise on new problem-solving strategies. Use collaboration to solve problems and make decisions. Collect data and inputs to make decisions. Consult with resources. Make decisions based on facts. Consider alternatives and rule out unlikely outcomes. Advise others on novel processes. Develop and advise on new data analysis techniques cross-functionally. Use known, and develop new, tools and standards for project execution. Execute, develop, and advise necessary steps and activities for project execution. Deliver to project objectives. Provide expertise and advice that adds value to project planning. Use project risk management process to manage risks. Develop and create approaches to mitigate risk. Advise on lessons learned. Develop/advise/use creative approaches to execute projects. Execute project closeout phase while developing the process. Develop new methods for, and advise others on, project conflict resolutions. Anticipate conflicts and develop contingency plans. What We're Looking For: Bachelor's degree in Science/Technology/Engineering/Math. 7 or more years' experience in New Product industrialization (at plant or regional level) and / or Tire design is a must (or equivalent plant / R&D experience) Exposure to Plant / manufacturing highly preferred Demonstrated ability to teach and apply systematic problem-solving tools and techniques Demonstrated ability to teach and apply new tools and techniques to improve existing processes Cross-functional project leadership/management experience What Will Set You Apart: Instill positive attitudes on peers.
