System Engineer

Job Summary We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactiveSystem Engineerto design, implement, and maintain our IT infrastructure and systems. The role involves ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of servers, networks, and applications while providing technical support and automation solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, hands-on experience in system administration, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams. Key Responsibilities Design, configure, and manage servers, storage, and network systems. Install, upgrade, and maintain operating systems (Windows/Linux) and enterprise applications. Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity to ensure maximum uptime. Implement and manage system security, backup, and disaster recovery solutions. Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, providing timely resolutions. Automate system administration tasks using scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python). Collaborate with development, IT, and DevOps teams to integrate systems effectively. Maintain documentation of configurations, procedures, and system changes. Support system migrations, upgrades, and cloud-based infrastructure deployments (AWS, Azure, GCP). Ensure compliance with IT policies, standards, and industry best practices. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field. Proven experience as a System Engineer, System Administrator, or similar role. Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows Server, Linux distributions). Hands-on experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud services. Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls). Proficiency in scripting and automation tools. Knowledge of system monitoring and logging tools. Understanding of security practices, backup systems, and disaster recovery planning. Relevant certifications (MCSA, MCSE, RHCE, CompTIA Server+, AWS/Azure certification) are a plus.
