This role is responsible for benefits operations, vendor and employee communications, Processing Invoices/Payments, compliance reporting, and systems management (HRIS & vendor Portals).As a key individual contributor, you will manage renewals, enrollments, payroll elements, and vendor integrations; oversee reconciliations, invoicing, and open enrollment; and ensure compliance with US (ACA, COBRA, ERISA, HIPAA) and Canadian provincial benefits requirements. You will also handle employee queries, vendor escalations, and troubleshooting to ensure seamless benefits delivery.The ideal candidate brings4–8 years of experience in US/Canada benefits operations , strong HRIS expertise (Dayforce preferred), and proven skills in compliance, issue resolution, and stakeholder management. If you are detail-oriented, collaborative, and passionate about benefits administration, we’d love to hear from you.Key ResponsibilitiesBenefits AdministrationManage employee eligibility, coverage start/end, and ongoing maintenance of benefits records. Process and record benefit enrollments, life events, and terminations in HRMS and related systems. Ensure accurate reflection of payroll elements linked to benefits compensation.Vendor & Employee CommunicationsAct as primary liaison with external benefits vendors. Manage vendor requests, escalations, and troubleshooting. Handle employee requests, mandatory notifications, and issue resolution with a strong customer service focus. Maintain and update vendor site access and contact information.System OperationsMonitor feeds, timings, reporting, and manual interventions in benefits platforms. Support testing and configuration during open enrollment and system changes. Ensure data integrity across HRIS, vendor platforms, and payroll systems.Financial OperationsValidate and process vendor invoices. Conduct reconciliations across Dayforce, vendor records, invoices, and payroll.Compliance & ReportingSupport open enrollment, ACA/COBRA (US), and provincial benefits compliance (Canada). Assist with 5500 filings, census files, and insurance audits. Review and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) to align with compliance and business needs.Issue ResolutionProactively identify and resolve recurring issues (e.g., Prudential file errors, COBRA access challenges, two-step verification). Partner with US & Canada HR/Total Rewards teams for escalations and policy clarifications.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related discipline. 4–7 years of experience in end-end benefits operations with strong exposure to US and Canadian benefits. Hands-on experience with HRIS & benefits platforms. Knowledge of US benefits regulations (ACA, COBRA, ERISA, HIPAA) and Canadian provincial group benefits structures. Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
