Company Overview : Foundation for Neglected Disease Research (FNDR) is a not-for-profit biotech R&D organization dedicated to discovering and developing novel therapeutics, diagnostics, and devices for diseases with a high socio-economic impact. Since its inception in 2014, FNDR has generated a portfolio of therapeutics in tuberculosis, nontuberculous mycobacteria, malaria, dengue, leishmania, serious bacterial infections, fungal infections, COVID-19 and RSV, spanning over early-stage discovery to late-stage clinical trials. For more information, please visit Qualification: M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, or a closely related field PhD in organic chemistry / medicinal chemistry Postdoc in organic chemistry / Medicinal chemistry(Optional) 0-4 years of hands-on experience in working on bench, preferably in an industryResponsibilities: Design and execute synthetic routes to prepare small molecules for drug discovery programmes Track SAR and optimizing potency, selectivity, and properties of small molecules for research programs Perform purification and structural characterization of compounds Troubleshoot synthetic problems and optimize reaction conditions Providing mentorship and guidance to junior colleagues Maintain accurate lab records and contribute to technical reports Collaborate with analytical teams as needed Providing input on intellectual property activitiesTechnical and Soft Skills: Skilled in multistep organic synthesis, reaction optimization, and compound isolation Proficient in chromatography (TLC, column, flash), spectroscopic analysis (NMR, LC-MS, HPLC), and purification techniques (recrystallization, precipitation, others) High level of creativity and productivity with strong synthetic chemistry problem solving skills Demonstrated excellence in organic synthesis, conversant with the current literature Effective oral and scientific/technical writing communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team Commitment to lab safety and adherence to safety protocols Familiarity with reaction databases (e.g., Reaxys, SciFinder) Proficiency using MS Office applications is requiredCTC Range:Commensurate to experience and negotiable.
