We have been mandated by a large conglomerate in to Iron & Steel business for the below mentioned role. Position Name : Manager / Dy Mgr / AM / JM - Rolling Mill ( Bar Mill & Wire rod mill ) - Maintenance Location : Angul Qualification : B-Tech / Diploma- Mechanical Experience : 8+ Years Purpose of the Role : To lead, plan, and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities of Danieli make rolling mill equipment, ensuring maximum plant availability, reliability, and cost efficiency while adhering to safety and quality standards. Job Responsibilities (KRA) Maintenance Planning & Execution Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for rolling mill (stands, shears, guides, rollers, gearboxes, bearings, cooling systems, etc.). Ensure minimum downtime during breakdowns through quick troubleshooting and effective repair methods. Maintain and monitor spare parts inventory specific to Danieli equipment. Rolling Mill-Specific Maintenance Oversee maintenance of reheating furnace, roughing, intermediate, finishing stands, crop/shear units, cooling bed, coilers, drives, and gearboxes. Troubleshoot and maintain Danieli-specific mechanical systems, hydraulic systems, and lubrication systems. Work closely with OEM/technical experts of Danieli for complex maintenance issues. Team Management Supervise and guide a team of engineers, supervisors, and technicians. Allocate manpower and resources effectively to meet operational requirements. Provide training on Danieli systems and safety practices. Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with all statutory safety regulations, audits, and mechanical integrity standards. Promote a culture of safe work practices in the maintenance team. Cost & Performance Optimization Monitor and control maintenance costs and spare parts consumption. Identify areas for energy conservation and efficiency improvement. Drive initiatives for equipment life enhancement and reliability improvement. Documentation & Reporting Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, downtime analysis, and corrective actions. Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports for management review. Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for tracking and scheduling.
