This is a non-clinical, administrative role that plays a critical part in the patient experience through running eligibility and benefits checks for families and individuals. You’ll work closely with internal teams and providers in a fully remote, async-first environment, where clear documentation, proactive communication, and ownership are essential. This role is ideal for someone with early experience in healthcare administration who is detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, mission-driven setting.Responsibilities: Verifying patient eligibility and benefits accurately and timely Managing prior authorization requests and follow-ups Respond to patient inquiries via email and live calls. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. Identifying ways to streamline the process and expedite insurance verification Ensure all communications and documentation comply with HIPAA and healthcare privacy standards Maintain organized internal documentation and notes Qualifications: 1–2 years of experience in a healthcare administrative or patient services Strong written and verbal English communication skills Solid understanding of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality Ability to work independently in a remote, async-first environment Exposure to behavioral health or mental health settings strongly preferred Hands-on experience with: Prior authorization and insurance processes. US Insurance Companies Insurance Portals Electronic Health Record (EHR) systemsCompensation: 600-800 USD per month
