Senior Engineer-PF Instrumentation(DCS& Automation)

Position Title: PF Instrument (DCS & Automation) About the Role The role involves ensuring high availability and reliability of plant instrumentation and control systems across Lines 1, 2, and 3. Responsibilities - Ensure high availability and reliability of plant instrumentation and control systems across Lines 1, 2, and 3. - Plan, review, and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize breakdowns and improve equipment performance. - Troubleshoot and analyze instrumentation failures, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions. - Maintain and support DCS systems including Unity Pro with FLS, ABB 800xA, Schneider DCS/EPE, and PI Historian systems. - Maintain and troubleshoot Kiln, Cooler, Raw Mill, Coal Mill instrumentation, UPS systems, and auxiliary systems. - Maintain and support XRF, XRD, CBA, AAQMS, and CEMS analyzers in compliance with CPCB/SPCB norms. - Maintain weighing systems (Schenck & FLS), Smart MCCs, field instrumentation, hydraulics, VVVFDs, and fieldbus networks (Profibus/Profinet). - Ensure upkeep of utility instrumentation systems including CCTV, Telephone, and Tele‑PA systems. - Prepare and monitor annual maintenance, shutdown, and project budgets; control costs and justify variances. - Manage critical spares and inventory through SAP to avoid production interruptions. - Implement and utilize SAP PM/MM for notifications, measuring points, preventive maintenance orders, and performance reports. - Supervise, coach, and develop frontline executives to enhance technical capability, safety practices, and behavioral skills. - Ensure compliance with Electrical Inspectorate, statutory requirements, ISO, WCM, safety systems, and internal standards. - Initiate and execute reliability improvement, CAPEX, and strategic improvement projects. - Maintain accurate technical, statutory, and ISO documentation for the instrumentation section. - Hands on experience in DCS (Unity pro with FLS), DCS-ABB 800XA & Schneider EPE), Plant instrumentation like Weighing systems, Analyzers, sub control systems and PLC’s, XRF & XRD, AAQMS systems, Utilities like Telephone & Tele-PA systems, Schenck & FLS make Weighing systems, Various Field instrument, Profibus & ProfiNet Networking, VVVFDs, Hydraulics, Stacker Reclaimer, Spares & Inventory management. Qualifications - B. Tech (ECE) - Experience: 5-10yrs - Location: Andhra Pradesh Cement Works - Tadipatri Required Skills - Experience with DCS systems and plant instrumentation. - Knowledge of SAP PM/MM. - Ability to troubleshoot and analyze instrumentation failures. Preferred Skills - Experience with XRF, XRD, CBA, AAQMS, and CEMS analyzers. - Familiarity with ISO documentation.
