Our state-of-the-art courses will empower the next generation of jewellery professionals by providing industry-relevant, comprehensive training in traditional craftsmanship, modern technology (like CAD), and business acumen.Role OverviewAFJD is seeking askilled and dedicated Jewellery CAD Facultyto join our team in Trivandrum. The faculty member will mentor students in creating professional jewellery designs using industry-standard CAD software, guiding them from2D concept developmentto3D production-ready models . This role plays a key part in AFJD’s CAD design programs and portfolio development, ensuring students graduate withindustry-ready technical skills and professional design portfolios . The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge, teaching ability, and hands-on industry exposure.Key ResponsibilitiesInstruction & Training Conduct structured training sessions onCorelDRAWfor 2D jewellery drafting. TeachRhino and Matrixfor 3D jewellery modelling and rendering. Guide students through the complete CAD design workflow from concept to manufacturing-ready output.Technical Guidance Teach gemstone-setting techniques, prong types, metal-thickness standards, and weight calculations. Explain jewellery manufacturing processes, includingcasting, 3D printing (RP), polishing, and finishing . Ensure designs meet industry standards for production feasibilityCurriculum Development & Delivery Deliver assigned CAD course modules as per the AFJD curriculum. Enhance and refine training materials to align with evolving industry practices. Maintain high instructional quality and learning outcomes.Portfolio Development Mentor students in building professional2D and 3D design portfolios . Provide constructive feedback to improve design aesthetics and technical accuracy.Student Support Assist students with CAD software troubleshooting and technical challenges. Explain complex concepts clearly using astudent-friendly teaching approach .Essential SkillsExcellent communication and negotiation skills for converting inquiries into enrollments. Proficiency in digital tools (social media, CRM, content creation) and content marketing tailored to creative fields. Passion for jewellery design education, with the ability to articulate AFJD's value in blending art, technology, and craftsmanship. Familiarity with Trivandrum/Kerala market dynamics and local networking.QualificationsExperience:Minimum2+ yearsof professional experience in Jewellery CAD design. Software Proficiency: Any one or more of the following tools. oCorelDRAW oRhino oMatrixGold Domain Knowledge:Strong understanding of jewellery manufacturing processes and materials. Communication Skills: oAbility to explain technical concepts clearly and patiently. oProficiency inMalayalamandEnglish / Hindipreferred.
