Position: AS400 Programmer Analyst Type: Contract Duration: 12+ Months Location: Remote (Offshore) Key Requirements: Proficiency in managing an AS400 environment, with hands-on experience in RPG and CL programming. Familiarity with job scheduling, Robot Scheduling, AS400 Queries, SQL, and FTP processes. In-depth understanding of MacPac ERP, iSeries/AS400 servers, and manufacturing processes. Experience with third-party software such as Robot, Faxstar, Implementer, and Gumbo's Report Manager. Ability to manage interfaces with CPQ/Configurator, payroll/GL systems, and supply chain systems. Knowledge of EDI transactions and financial processing for month-end and year-end. Availability for on-call and off-hours support as needed. Detailed Description: Functional Contribution (Contribution Matrix): Manages and maintains an AS400 environment Experience Scheduling application jobs both financial and manufacturing Creates and maintains RPG programs and CL programs Experience with AS400 Queries Exposure to SQL Exposure to FTP Serves as Subject Matter Expert for MacPac and the iSeries/AS400 servers Applies experience in Manufacturing processes to the AS400 and MacPac processes 3rd party software Robot ACOMM Faxstar Implementer Report Manager from Gumbo Managing and supporting Interfaces with CPQ/Configurator Payroll/GL systems Supply chain systems Exposure to EDI and EDI transactions Exposure to financial month-end and year-end processing On Call and off hours support will be required Manages day to day operations of IT functions Applies experience and expertise to reach solutions Identifies trends in technology and takes action to improve the business Understands the business operations Facilitates, coaches, and mentor others Solve complex problems Understands the financial aspects of the business Makes sound decisions based on evaluation of available information Manages internal and external two-way communications to promote the best interest of all parties Develops strong relationships and provides effective communication, prioritization, and alignment Skills, Abilities and Mastery (Responsibility Matrix): Leads analysis on business procedures, needs and problems where appropriate configure applications to support requirements.
