Position Overview Leading a team of artists and being responsible for the quality check of the team’s outputLiaising with production to help ensure an efficient schedule and distribution of workWorking with the paint supervisor to prepare briefs and ensure qualityUsing patches and frame-by-frame painting techniques to remove rigs and tracking markersDe-graining plates to be used for paint and compositingBidding the duration required for the various Paint tasks on a showLearning and developing specific Folks VFX pipeline and workflowsRequired Skills and Experience Traditional art and design skills including knowledge of composition and colorKnowledge of NukeKnowledge of a Linux based operating systemAn understanding of motion blur and how it affects mattes and patchesPrior use of a roto-scoping package, ideally SilhouetteA desire to learn new techniques and teach fellow artistsExcellent organizational and communication skillsTeam-working abilitiesThe ability to take criticism and feedbackGood problem solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other artistsAn understanding of the 3D environment within Nuke.Using expressions within Nuke to help aid paint work
