Energy Modeller

We Are Hiring: Energy Modeller – Remote (India-based role). Experience: 1–3 years About Us : Susnomics is a sustainability and engineering consultancy based in Dubai, providing expertise in green building design & consultancy, environment assessment & compliance, building testing services and energy optimization & simulation. Position Overview :The Energy Modeller will support the development of energy simulations and building performance analysis for green building certifications (LEED, WELL, Estidama, DGBC, etc.) and other energy efficiency projects. The role involves assisting in creating accurate energy models, performing technical analyses, and supporting project teams in achieving compliance with sustainability and energy performance requirements. Key Responsibilities :- Develop building energy simulation models using recognized software such as eQuest, Design Builder, IES VE, etc - Support LEED, Estidama, DGBC and other green building certifications by preparing required documentation, calculations, and simulation reports. - Assist in reviewing architectural, mechanical, and electrical drawings to extract inputs for energy modelling and system analysis. - Conduct baseline and proposed case simulations in accordance with ASHRAE 90.1 and relevant standards. - Analyze simulation results to identify energy conservation measures and optimization opportunities. - Support the preparation of energy and water efficiency reports, feasibility studies, and carbon reduction analyses. - Collaborate with design teams to provide recommendations on passive design strategies, HVAC system optimization, and renewable energy integration. - Stay updated with local authority requirements (Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, DDA, Estidama) and international standards related to energy performance and building simulation. - Coordinate internally with sustainability consultants and project engineers to ensure timely and accurate project delivery. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Energy Engineering, or related disciplines. - Prior experience with LEED and Estidama projects is mandatory.- 1–3 years of experience in energy modelling, building simulation, or sustainable design (fresh graduates with relevant coursework or internship experience are encouraged to apply). - Good understanding of HVAC systems, building envelope design, and energy efficiency principles is required. - Familiarity with LEED, ASHRAE standards, and local energy requirements is desirable. - Proficiency in MS Excel and technical report writing. - Experience with eQuest is required. Experience/training with other softwares like Design Builder & IES VE will be an advantage. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Certifications (Preferred but not Mandatory) LEED Green Associate or LEED AP accreditation. Estidama PQP, or EDGE Expert certification.
