Job Title: Branch Manager – CHA (Customs Broker) Business Development & OperationsLocation: MumbaiCompany: Pon Pure Logistics India Private LimitedJob SummaryPon Pure Logistics India Private Limited is seeking an experienced Branch Manager – CHA to lead business development and branch operations for customs brokerage services in Mumbai. The role requires a strong blend of revenue generation, client acquisition, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence within CHA services.Key Responsibilities1. Business Development – CHA Services- Identify, target, and acquire new clients requiring customs clearance and freight forwarding services. - Build and maintain strong relationships with importers, exporters, shipping lines, freight forwarders, and allied service providers. - Drive branch-level sales growth, ensuring achievement of revenue and margin targets. - Prepare commercial proposals, negotiate terms, and close deals with prospective customers. - Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and evolving customer requirements. - Plan and organize customer meetings and visits to strengthen business relationships.2. Branch Operations – CHA Services- Oversee end-to-end CHA operations, including documentation handling, bill of entry filing, customs liaison, and port coordination. - Ensure strict compliance with Customs Act, DGFT regulations, port authority rules, and internal SOPs. - Maintain high standards of accuracy, turnaround time, and service quality in clearance processes. - Liaise effectively with customs officials, shipping agents, transporters, and port authorities for smooth cargo movement. - Ensure proper documentation, record maintenance, and audit readiness at the branch level. - Drive process improvements to minimize delays, errors, and operational costs.Qualifications & Experience- Graduate / Postgraduate in Logistics, International Trade, Supply Chain, or a related field. - Mandatory experience in a licensed CHA firm. - 7–10 years of overall experience in customs brokerage, with at least 3 years in a managerial or branch leadership role. - Strong knowledge of customs procedures, compliance requirements, and port operations. - Proven ability to manage clients, teams, and branch profitability.Key Skills & Competencies- Business Development & Client Acquisition - CHA Operations & Regulatory Compliance - Negotiation & Commercial Acumen - Team Leadership & Branch Management - Stakeholder & Government Liaison - Process Improvement & Cost Optimization
