Job Description:
Role OverviewThe Registrar is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the academic administration and regulatory framework of the University. The role ensures the integrity, accuracy, and security of student records, and facilitates the smooth execution of academic processes in alignment with institutional policies and statutory requirements.Key Responsibilities:Academic Administration- Oversee end-to-end student lifecycle processes including admissions, enrollment, registration, and graduation - Ensure accurate maintenance of student records, transcripts, and academic documentation - Administer academic calendars, timetables, and course scheduling in coordination with academic departmentsExaminations & Evaluation- Supervise the conduct of examinations, assessments, and grading processes - Ensure confidentiality, integrity, and timely declaration of results - Implement examination reforms and digital evaluation systems where applicableRegulatory Compliance- Ensure adherence to guidelines set by regulatory bodies such as UGC, AICTE, NAAC, etc. - Manage statutory records, affiliations, and accreditation-related documentation - Act as the custodian of university records, statutes, and policiesGovernance & Secretariat- Serve as the Secretary to statutory bodies such as the Academic Council, Board of Management, and other committees - Facilitate meetings, maintain minutes, and ensure follow-up on decisionsSystems & Process Management- Drive digitization and automation of academic and administrative processes - Oversee ERP systems related to student information and academic operations - Ensure data accuracy, security, and reportingStakeholder Management- Collaborate with Deans, Faculty, Admissions, and IT teams for seamless academic operations - Act as a point of contact for students on academic records and regulatory mattersCandidate Profile:Qualifications- Master’s degree; PhD preferredExperience- 12–18 years of experience in academic administration, in a University Setup - Prior experience in handling examinations, compliance, and university governance
