This role will be responsible for securing and managing insurance coverage across multiple jurisdictions, supporting claims processes, and driving proactive risk mitigation strategies. This position is based in India and will work closely with global stakeholders across finance, legal, operations, and campus teams. Key Responsibilities:Insurance Portfolio ManagementLead the placement, renewal, and optimization of insurance programs across 8+ countries, including the India campus businessManage relationships with brokers, insurers, and external advisors to ensure competitive coverage and pricingEvaluate coverage needs across directors & officers, property, liability, cyber, employee-related, and other relevant insurance linesEnsure compliance with local regulatory and statutory insurance requirements across jurisdictionsClaims ManagementOversee end-to-end claims management process, including reporting, documentation, negotiation, and settlementPartner with internal stakeholders and insurers to ensure timely and favorable resolution of claimsMaintain claims data and analytics to identify trends and areas for improvementRisk Management & MitigationIdentify, assess, and prioritize enterprise risks across business units and geographies, in partnership with the GRC TeamDevelop and implement risk mitigation strategies, policies, and controlsPartner with cross-functional teams (Legal, Finance, Operations, HR) to embed risk awareness into business processesGovernance & ReportingMaintain documentation of policies, coverage, and risk frameworksProvide regular reporting to leadership on insurance costs, claims, and risk exposureSupport internal audits and compliance initiatives related to insurance and risk Qualifications & Experience:6–10 years of experience in insurance and risk management, preferably in a multinational environmentStrong understanding of global insurance programs and multi-country risk considerationsExperience managing claims across different jurisdictionsFamiliarity with regulatory requirements in India and other international marketsBachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., ARM, CPCU, FRM) are a plus Key Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent stakeholder management and communication abilitiesNegotiation skills with insurers and brokersAbility to manage complexity across geographies and business unitsHigh attention to detail and ownership mindset Why Join Emeritus:Work in a global, mission-driven organization transforming educationExposure to international markets and cross-border operationsCollaborative and fast-paced environment with high impactEmeritus provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.In press:
