The engagement should include migrating all email security, filtering, and threat protection settings to Microsoft Defender for a seamless transition with no disruption to service.Job Description:We are seeking a skilled Barracuda to Microsoft Defender Migration Specialist for a contract role focused on decommissioning our existing Barracuda email firewall and implementing Microsoft Defender for Office 365. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with email security platforms, Microsoft 365 security tools, and a strong understanding of secure email gateway configurations and migrations.Key Responsibilities: Plan and execute the retirement of the Barracuda email security firewall. Deploy and configure Microsoft Defender for Office 365 features, including anti-phishing, anti-malware, and threat investigation tools. Ensure a smooth transition with minimal business disruption. Document the migration process and provide technical knowledge transfer to internal teams. Collaborate with IT and security teams to align configurations with organizational policies. Troubleshoot issues related to mail flow, filtering, and user access during and after the migration. Requirements: Proven experience with Barracuda Email Security Gateway and Microsoft Defender for Office 365. Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 Exchange Online Protection (EOP). Familiarity with secure email protocols, SPF/DKIM/DMARC, and threat detection tools. Experience managing or supporting email migration projects. Excellent troubleshooting and documentation skills.
