Job Description:
Who are we?Privado AI is a Series A startup backed by Insight Partners and Sequoia Capital. We are the agentic privacy platform that reduces compliance risk at scale. With AI agents and real-time software scanning designed for privacy teams, Privado AI automates manual compliance work, delivers complete personal data visibility, and eliminates privacy risk. Leading enterprises like Intuit, HP, Chipotle, Capital Group, Autodesk, and Riot Games build their privacy programs with us.What's the role? You know the pain. You've built data maps manually — chasing engineers for data flows, maintaining RoPAs in spreadsheets that break every quarter, running assessments where half the work is copy-pasting between tools. You've implemented OneTrust or TrustArc or BigID and felt the gap between what the tool promises and what actually works. Privado AI is building an agentic privacy platform that starts from code — automatically discovering personal data flows, generating data maps, and powering assessments with real, verified data instead of survey responses. This role sits at the intersection of real privacy operations and product engineering — 50% working with enterprise customers to implement Privado correctly, 50% working with our product and engineering team to turn every workflow you've struggled with into product. Your practitioner's frustration becomes the roadmap. What you'll doCustomer-Facing (50%)Work hands-on with enterprise customers to implement Privado's data mapping, assessment, and compliance workflows into their existing privacy programsGuide customers on best practices — not just how Privado works, but how a good privacy program should workIdentify patterns across implementations: what's working, what's breaking, where the product falls short of real-world needsBuild reference workflows and playbooks for complete, defensible data mapping programs end-to-end in PrivadoSupport CS and solutions teams with deep privacy domain expertise during onboarding, QBRs, and escalationsProduct & Engineering (50%)Define and validate evaluation frameworks — how customers measure whether their data map is complete, accurate, and audit-readyTranslate practitioner pain into product requirements with the credibility of someone who's lived itTest and validate agentic privacy workflows against real-world regulatory scenarios (GDPR Article 30, CPRA disclosures, cross-border transfer assessments)Build internal knowledge base and training materials that help CS, sales, and engineering understand how privacy practitioners actually workContribute to product roadmap prioritization by bringing the practitioner's perspective — what matters most to the person who has to defend this program to a regulatorWhat will make you a great fit?Required5+ years of hands-on privacy operations experience — you've personally built and maintained data maps, RoPAs, cross-border transfer mechanisms, and privacy impact assessmentsImplemented at least one major privacy platform (OneTrust, TrustArc, BigID, ServiceNow Privacy, or equivalent)At least one privacy certification: CIPM, CIPP/E, or CIPP/USExperience with B2C technology company privacy programs subject to GDPR, US state privacy laws (CPRA, CTDPA, etc.), or bothConsulting or in-house practitioner background — you've either managed privacy programs for clients or run the program in-house at a company with real regulatory exposureStrong communication skills — you can explain a cross-border transfer assessment to an engineer and a product gap to a CPO in the same afternoonPerks & BenefitsRemote - Work from anywhereInsurance - Medical, insurance for you and your familyUnlimited PTO policyTeam and company outings.Flat hierarchy and open communicationOur CultureWe treat everyone as adults, giving individuals ownership and setting ambitious goals.
