Job DescriptionPosition: Audience Insights & Community Research ExecutiveDepartment: Content Strategy / GrowthLocation: MumbaiAbout the RoleWe are looking for an audience-first, insight-driven professional who can help us deeply understand how our viewers consume content. This role will focus on conducting surveys, polls, feedback sessions, and audience discussions to decode viewer preferences, content behaviour, and engagement patterns.The objective is to convert audience responses into clear, actionable recommendations that help shape content strategy, formats, distribution, and engagement.This is not a heavy data analytics role — it is a practical, audience-interaction and insight-generation role within a media ecosystem.Key Responsibilities1. Audience Surveys & PollsDesign and execute content-focused surveys and digital polls.Create short-form audience questionnaires for app, social media, and website.Track viewer feedback on shows, formats, themes, and talent.Identify patterns in audience preferences and behaviour.2. Community Interaction & DiscussionsConduct small group discussions (online/offline).Moderate viewer feedback sessions and content testing panels.Interact with loyal audience communities to gather qualitative insights.Capture emotional reactions and perception shifts.3. Insight Generation for Content Teams • Translate feedback into clear content recommendations. • Highlight: What formats are working What is dropping off What themes resonate most Viewer expectations from upcoming content • Share structured weekly/monthly insight reports with content & strategy teams.4. Trend SpottingTrack shifts in content consumption habits.Identify emerging audience interests.Monitor social conversations around content pieces.Provide early signals for potential viral or high-retention formats.Required Skills & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Marketing, Media Studies, Psychology, Communications, or related field.1–4 years in media, content strategy, digital platforms, or audience research roles.Experience conducting surveys and audience engagement initiatives.Exposure to social media analytics is a plus.Core SkillsStrong understanding of digital content consumption.Excellent communication and moderation skills.Ability to ask the right questions to extract meaningful feedback.Strong observational and interpretation skills.Basic comfort with Excel/Google Sheets for summarising responses.Structured reporting and presentation ability.What Success Looks LikeClear audience-backed input into content decisions.Improvement in content engagement and retention.Faster feedback loops between audience and content team.Identification of content opportunities before competitors.
