Data Engineer / Data Analyst (Event Support)

We are seeking a Data Engineer / Data Analyst (Event Support) for a 6 to 12-month contract to support our live event data operations. This is a fully remote role based in India, ideal for professionals who thrive in fast-paced, real-time data environments.Contract & LocationContract Duration: 6–12 monthsLocation: RemoteEngagement Type: Contract / Independent ContractorRole OverviewAs a Data Engineer / Data Analyst (Event Support), you will ensure the accuracy, reliability, and performance of data pipelines during active events. You will be responsible for monitoring real-time systems, resolving data issues, and collaborating with Product and Integration teams to deliver seamless event experiences.Core ResponsibilitiesMonitor and troubleshoot live data pipelines during events (registrations, scans, sessions, CRM syncs).Diagnose and resolve data discrepancies, including missing leads, attribute mismatches, and sync delays.Perform data validations, reconciliation queries, and implement real-time fixes.Conduct root-cause analysis and recommend long-term improvements.Work closely with Product and Integration teams during active event windows.Document workflows, incidents, and resolution procedures.Required Skills & QualificationsPython – Strong experience in data processing, transformation, and debugging.AWS (Hands-on Experience)AWS LambdaStep FunctionsEvent-driven architecturesSQL (Advanced) – Ability to write complex queries, debug integrity issues, and perform reconciliations.Strong understanding of ETL and data pipeline concepts.Preferred QualificationsExperience with event platforms, CRM systems, or martech integrations.Exposure to real-time or near real-time data processing.Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools.Experience supporting mission-critical systems.
