D365 F&O Security & Licensing Consultant

Job SummaryWe are looking for a Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Security & Licensing Specialist responsible for managing user roles, security configuration, and license optimization within the D365 environment. The role will focus on user access management, role design, and license analysis to ensure compliance, security, and cost-effective license utilization.Key Responsibilities:User Security Management Configure and maintain User Setup in Dynamics 365 F&O. Manage user role assignments and ensure appropriate access control. Create and assign custom roles based on business processes. Design and maintain Roles, Privileges, and Duties in the security framework. Review and optimize role-based access for users.Role & Security Design Create and maintain custom security roles aligned with organizational processes. Implement process-based role structures to improve security governance. Manage new role creation and role assignment for users. Conduct periodic security role reviews and audits.License Management & Optimization Perform role-wise license analysis to identify license requirements. Analyze user-assigned licenses vs role-based licenses. Track license utilization across users and roles. Identify opportunities to reduce unnecessary license consumption. Recommend and implement optimized role structures to reduce licensing costs.Power Platform & Admin Center Monitoring Use Power Platform Admin Center for user license analysis and monitoring. Review license allocation and usage reports. Ensure compliance with Microsoft licensing guidelines.Required Skills & Experience:3 - 5 years of experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations security administration. Strong understanding of D365 F&O security architecture (Roles, Duties, Privileges). Experience in user role configuration and access management. Knowledge of Microsoft licensing models for D365 and Power Platform. Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics implementation partners or consulting firms. Ability to perform license analysis and optimization.Preferred QualificationsExperience working with Microsoft Solution Partner organizations. Exposure to Power Platform Admin Center and environment governance. Understanding of segregation of duties (SoD) and security best practices.
