Senior Practitioner -AWS

Position: AWS Senior Practitioner (AVP)Experience: 10 – 14 yearsLocation: AhmedabadRole OverviewWe are looking for an experienced AWS professional who can build, scale, and lead the AWS practice within the organization. The role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, capability building, client-facing leadership, and presales support.The ideal candidate will drive cloud strategy (AWS), delivery excellence, talent development, and play a key role in winning new business through presales and solution consulting. Key Responsibilities1. AWS Practice Building & StrategyDefine and execute the roadmap to establish and grow the AWS practice.Develop AWS service offerings, accelerators, reusable templates, and best practices.Identify market opportunities and emerging AWS services to strengthen the practice.Build partnerships and maintain alignment with AWS teams and programs.2. Capability DevelopmentCreate competency frameworks, skill matrices, and learning paths for cloud engineers.Mentor and upskill internal teams in AWS technologies, architecture, DevOps, and cloud-native development.Lead internal PoCs, workshops, certifications, and capability enhancement initiatives.3. Client Engagement & Delivery ExcellenceAct as cloud solution and architecture expert during client meetings, discovery sessions, and requirement discussions.Provide leadership in designing scalable, secure, and cost-effective AWS solutions.Guide project teams to ensure successful delivery and adherence to AWS best practices.Build strong client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor for cloud transformation.4. Presales & SolutioningParticipate in RFP/RFI responses, proposals, and technical pitches.Prepare solution architectures, BoQs, effort estimates, and value propositions.Work closely with sales teams to position AWS offerings and support deal closures.Conduct client demos, workshops, and technical presentations.5. Governance & Operational ExcellenceDefine policies for security, governance, tagging, FinOps, and resource optimization.Establish cloud delivery frameworks and standardized templates.Track KPIs for cloud adoption, performance, and practice growth. Required Skills & QualificationsTechnical ExpertiseStrong handson knowledge of core AWS services: EC2, VPC, IAM, Lambda, RDS, S3, CloudFront, ECS/EKS, CloudWatch, DynamoDB, etc.Experience in cloud architecture, migration, modernization, DevOps, automation, and infrastructure as code (Terraform/CloudFormation).Understanding of security, compliance, networking, and cost optimization.Deep understanding of architectural principles, patterns, and best practices.Proficiency in at least one of the architectural frameworks, such as TOGAF, Zachman, or FEAF.Experience in designing and implementing application architectures using microservices, 3-tier, and other relevant architectural patternsExperience in designing and implementing data architectures, including data modeling, data warehousing, and data integration solutions on AWS.Experience in designing and implementing business architectures and Aligning IT strategy with business goals, ensuring that cloud solutions support business objectives and drive innovation.Led the implementation and deployment of cloud solutions, ensuring adherence to best practices, standard and well-architected framework.Proficiency in at least one or more of the programming languages, such as Java, .NET, or Python.Experience with frameworks like Spring, Hibernate, or similar.Leadership & Business SkillsProven experience building or scaling an AWS practice.Ability to lead cross-functional teams and coach engineers.Strong client-facing and presentation skills.Experience in presales, solutioning, and leading technical discussions with CXOs.CertificationsAWS Solutions Architect – Professional (preferred)AWS DevOps Engineer / Security Specialist (added advantage)Key AttributesEntrepreneurial mindset and ownership-driven approachStrong communication and consulting skillsAbility to work with ambiguity and create clarityPassion for cloud innovation and continuous learning
