Responsibilities include preparing detailed engineering drawings, conducting feasibility studies and site assessments, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and industry standards. The engineer will work with cross-functional teams, evaluate components, review performance data, and stay updated with industry trends.Core Responsibilities Design and Collaboration: Collaborate with teams to design and optimize solar energy systems while participating in design reviews and cross-functional meetings.Software and Performance Modelling: Utilize design software to model system performance and adapt designs based on project needs and technological advancements.Documentation and Compliance: Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and industry standards.Site and Feasibility Assessments: Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments to support project development and progress.Component Selection and System Evaluation: Evaluate and select solar components, analysing performance data to recommend improvements.Industry Trends and Best Practices: Stay current with industry trends and technologies, adapting to new tools and techniques in solar design.Regulatory Compliance and Permits: Collaborate with regulatory bodies to secure permits and ensure projects meet safety and environmental regulations.Client and Supplier Relations: Build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and industry partners while assisting in proposal and report preparation.Cost Evaluation and Resource Management: Assist in evaluating project costs and resources, providing design insights aligned with project goals.Technical Support and Problem Solving: Offer technical support, address challenges, and contribute to a positive work environment.Education Requirements Bachelors/master's in electrical engineering or related fieldTechnical Skills and Experience Software Proficiency: AutoCADPVSystHelioscopeETAPMS OfficeSolargrafProject Management: Experience in managing design projects from conception to implementationAbility to coordinate with other engineers and stakeholdersRenewable Energy Systems: Understanding of solar energy systems and their integration into existing infrastructureExperience 4-6 years of relevant experience in the Solar Sector.
