Senior Automation Engineer

Role Summary The Sr. Engineer – Automation will be responsible for leading the design, development, programming, commissioning, and optimization of advanced automation systems. This role requires strong expertise inBeckhoff PLC programming ,SCADA/HMI development , anddatabase‑integrated automation solutions , along with the ability to mentor junior engineers and support complex customer projects.Key Responsibilities Lead thedevelopment, programming, and troubleshooting of Beckhoff PLC systemsusingStructured Text (ST)andFunction Block (FB)languages. Architect and developSCADA / HMI applicationsintegrated withMS Access or SQL databasesfor data logging, reporting, and analytics. Design, optimize, and validatemachine automation sequences, control logic, and interlocksfor reliable and efficient operation. Execute and leadtesting, commissioning, FAT, and SAT activitiesat factory and customer sites. Diagnose and resolve complexsoftware, hardware, and field-level automation issues . Review automation designs and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and cross‑functional teams. Prepare and reviewtechnical documentation , including software design specifications, user manuals, validation documents, and reports. Collaborate closely withelectrical design, mechanical, and software teamsto ensure seamless project execution. Support customers during installation, commissioning, and post‑implementation phases. Ensure automation solutions comply withsafety standards, project specifications, and quality requirements .Required Technical Skills & Expertise 8–10 years of hands‑on experience inindustrial automation systems . Strong expertise inBeckhoff PLC programming . Advanced proficiency inStructured Text (ST)andFunction Block (FB)programming. Proven experience inSCADA/HMI developmentwithdatabase integration (MS Access / SQL) . Solid knowledge ofelectrical and electronic circuit wiring . Strong understanding offield sensors, actuators, drives, control components , and industrial communication protocols. Ability to read, interpret, and reviewelectrical schematics and wiring diagrams . Experience in system debugging, performance optimization, and lifecycle support.Soft Skills & Competencies Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross‑functional teams.
