Job Title: Embedded Hardware Engineer Job Summary We are looking for a skilled and motivated Embedded Hardware Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and validation of embedded hardware systems for a wide range of applications. The role involves schematic design, PCB layout, component selection, system bring-up, and debugging of embedded systems. includes ensuring compliance with global regulatory standards (FCC, CE, etc.) Roles & Responsibilities Design and develop embedded hardware systems including microcontroller/microprocessor-based boards. Create schematics and PCB layouts using industry-standard tools (e.g., Altium, OrCAD, KiCad). Select appropriate components and ensure BOM optimization and DFM/DFT compliance. Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, and system teams to meet product requirements. Perform hardware bring-up, debugging, and validation using lab instruments (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, multimeter, etc.). Ensure signal integrity, power integrity, and EMI/EMC compliance in hardware design. Support product development from concept to production and assist in certifications. Ensure hardware meets EMI/EMC and wireless regulatory compliance (FCC, CE, IC, ETSI, TELEC, etc.). Generate and maintain detailed documentation including schematics, layout, test reports, and user manuals. Interface with vendors and contract manufacturers for prototype and mass production. Education and Experience Required Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or related field. 2 to 6 years of hands-on experience in embedded hardware design and development. Proven track record of successful product development cycles from concept to production. Continuous Learning: Keeping up with the latest trends in embedded systems, processors, and communication protocols. Must Have Skills Strong understanding of digital and analog circuit design. Experience with microcontrollers (ARM Cortex, PIC, MSP430, etc.) and peripherals (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, USB). Proficient in schematic capture and PCB design tools like Altium Designer, OrCAD, Eagle, or KiCad. Hands-on experience with lab instruments: oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, etc. Knowledge of power management design (LDOs, DC-DC converters, battery charging). Familiarity with EMI/EMC considerations and debugging techniques. Basic understanding of firmware interfaces to support system bring-up. Exposure to environmental and reliability testing standards (ESD, thermal, vibration, etc.) is a plus.
