Job Title: Senior Architect – Semiconductor Plant Design & ConstructionLocation: Micron Semiconductor Technologies - Sanand.Experience: 8-10 YearsIndustry: Semiconductor / High-Tech Manufacturing / ConstructionEmployment Type: On Contract – Initial 6 Months but expandable as per project requirement & performance Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Architect to assist Micron inhouse Design Team to lead and execute architectural and interior design aspects of semiconductor plant & associated building construction including extrenal development like roads/landscape & associated ancillary buildings. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, in-depth knowledge of building concepts, details design & construction requirements, and proficiency in relevant software tools to ensure efficient design, planning, and execution. Key Responsibilities:Architectural & Interior Design: Can help in develop, design, and review architectural layouts, construction drawings, and ID elements included but not lilited to semiconductor plant buildings, cleanrooms, and support facilities.Project Coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Civil, MEP, Process Engineering, and Facilities teams to integrate architectural design into overall plant infrastructure.Regulatory Compliance: Ensure designs comply with local and international building codes, cleanroom classification standards (ISO, SEMI, GMP), fire safety, and semiconductor industry-specific requirements.Material & Space Planning: Select appropriate construction materials, finishes, and layouts to optimize safety, efficiency, and sustainability in semiconductor facility design.BIM & 3D Modeling: Utilize Building Information Modeling (BIM) for clash detection, coordination, and visualization of architectural and ID designs.Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure designs align with business and operational objectives.Construction Oversight: Provide on-site technical guidance during construction, resolving design-related issues, and ensuring execution as per specifications.Sustainability & Innovation: Integrate energy-efficient and sustainable design practices into semiconductor plant construction.Required Technical Skills:Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud, SketchUpfor architectural design.Strong knowledge of 3D rendering and visualization tools like Lumion, Enscape, or V-Ray.Expertise in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign for presentation and detailing.Experience in Structural & MEP Coordination for large scale buildings.Familiarity with Cleanroom Design Standards (ISO 14644, SEMI S2, S8, S10) and controlled environment requirements will be added advantage.Strong grasp of construction techniques, material specifications, and regulatory standards.Ability to perform clash detection and design optimization using Navisworks Manage.Working Knowledge of project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, or similar) for tracking design progress.Experience with sustainability frameworks (USGBC ,LEED, BREEAM, or IGBC) is a plus.Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture from a recognized institution.8-10 years of experience in architectural design and interior planning, preferably in high-tech manufacturing, semiconductor or industrial projects.Proven track record of working on large-scale indusrial / institution / R&D / Semiconductors or BioPharma facilities Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities.Preferred Certifications:Certified Architect (COA Registered) or equivalent certification.PMP or similar project management certification is advantageous.LEED AP / WELL AP certification for sustainable building practices.
