Job Title: Electrical Engineer – 3D Modeling (Switchyard & Substation)Experience Level: 1–3 Years Education: Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (Specialization in Power System Engineering)Position Overview:We are looking for a highly motivated and technically skilled Electrical Engineer with 1–3 years of experience in 3D modeling and design of Medium Voltage and high-voltage switchyards and substations.The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in power system engineering, hands-on experience with 3D design tools such as AutoCAD Plant 3D, AutoCAD MEP, Revit, and Bentley Open Utilities Substation, and a deep understanding of substation equipment and layout design.Key Responsibilities:Provide the Detailed Hand Holding with the Existing Draftsman and 3D Modeler and Lead the Team Develop and manage detailed 3D models of AIS/GIS switchyards and substations using AutoCAD Plant 3D, AutoCAD MEP, Bentley Open Utilities Substation. Interpret and prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), equipment layouts, general arrangement drawings, and cable routing plans. Coordinate with electrical, civil, and structural teams to ensure accurate integration of electrical models into the overall plant design. Perform clash detection, model validation, and ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards. Support the preparation of construction drawings, as-built documentation, and BIM deliverables. Participate in design reviews and provide technical input to optimize layout and equipment placement. Maintain version control and documentation of all design files and revisions.Key Deliverables:3D Substation/Switchyard Models (AIS/GIS) Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) Equipment Layout Drawings Cable Tray and Conduit Routing Layouts General Arrangement (GA) Drawings Sectional Views and Isometric Drawings Bill of Materials (BOM) and Quantity Take-Offs Clash Detection Reports BIM Coordination Models (if applicable)Required Qualifications:Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably with a specialization in Power System Engineering. 1–3 years of hands-on experience in 3D modeling of substations and switchyards. Proficiency in AutoCAD Plant 3D, AutoCAD MEP, Revit, Bentley Open Utilities Substation. Strong understanding of substation equipment, layout principles, and electrical design standards. Ability to interpret and develop technical drawings, schematics, and engineering documentation. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Preferred Skills:Familiarity with IEC, IEEE, and IS standards. Experience in BIM workflows, model coordination, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Knowledge of clash detection tools (e.g., Navisworks). Exposure to EPC or consulting environments in the power sector.
