The university fosters interdisciplinary learning and innovation in architecture, planning, and related fields.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for Teaching Associates with the Faculty of Planning in the Master's of Urban Planning program located in Ahmedabad. The role involves assisting faculty in studios and core subjects, mentoring students in terms of skill building and technical support, and coordinating academic activities. Teaching Associates will support studio-based learning initiatives and assist in the organization of lectures, workshops, and events related to the program.If you are looking for a job in academics or research, then this is a good opportunity for you. Proficiency in geo-spatial methods, data analysis, and report writing related to urban planning and policy. Excellent academic support and communication skills. Experience with interdisciplinary collaboration and ability to contribute to innovative curriculum development. A master's degree in Urban Planning, Urban Design, or Geomatics, or a related discipline is required. Familiarity with contemporary urban challenges, urban planning mechanisms such as Development Plans or Town Planning Schemes, and policy frameworks is advantageous. Ability to work in Ahmedabad and dedication to fostering academic excellence and student engagement.Position: Full-time Teaching Associate for MUP program - specifically, Development Plan Studio Faculty: Faculty of Planning, CEPT UniversityJob Duration: 5th January 2026 – 23rd May 2026 (6 months contract - exact dates in the contract might vary) / We will offer a 1-year (2 semesters) contract to good candidates.Remuneration: As per University pay bands (approx. Rs.40000 - 55000 per month based on the years of experience)Minimum Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Architecture, Urban Design, Geomatics, or Urban Planning, or a Master’s degree in the related fields in the Urban Sector.Work Experience Required: minimum 1 year Prerequisites: good working knowledge of GIS, statistics, and visual communicationThe TA position for the Foundation Studio is a full-time commitment (8.5 hours/5 day work week). The selected candidates cannot do any other professional work during their full-time contract at CEPT.The Roles and Responsibilities of the TA include : 1. A faculty member will teach 14-5 students in one of the studio units. The TA will assist them in the unit by being a bridge between students and faculty.The Teaching Associate will coordinate with other TAs from the different studio units and make sure that there is parity in teaching, grading, and other academic processes in the Studio.2. Be punctual, organized, and sincere about the task assigned, and lead by example to a group of 14-15 students.3. The TA will assist faculty members in course/exercise preparations and in conducting studio sessions and weekly evaluations. This would also include taking up preparatory exercises, trial runs, a week before the studio starts.4.
