About the Role We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead and oversee our Asset Management operations at GIFT City. The Principal Officer will be responsible for regulatory engagement, fund governance, and operational oversight, ensuring full compliance with IFSCA and other applicable regulations. Roles & Responsibilities Regulatory Interface: Act as the primary liaison with IFSCA and other regulatory bodies, ensuring timely compliance and reporting. Fund Oversight: Lead fund management activities, ensuring alignment with investment objectives and regulatory frameworks. Performance Monitoring: Oversee fund performance, disclosures, and investor reporting. Operational Management: Supervise day-to-day operations of the GIFT City unit, including fund flows, client onboarding, and transaction processing. Investment Evaluation: Screen and summarize investment proposals focused on structured financial solutions for mid-market corporates. Deal Execution Support: Collaborate with the India Investment Manager on deal evaluation, due diligence, investment recommendations, documentation, and execution. Market Intelligence: Support research into financial products, market trends, and business developments to inform strategy. Qualifications Candidates must meet one of the following criteria: Chartered Accountant (CA), MBA (Finance), or CFA certification OR Postgraduate degree/diploma in Finance, Law, Accountancy, Business Management, Commerce, Economics, Capital Markets, Banking, Insurance, or Actuarial Science from a recognized Indian or foreign institution. Experience Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in financial services, including roles such as: Portfolio Manager / Fund Manager Investment Advisor / Broker Dealer Investment Banker / Wealth Manager Research Analyst / Credit Rating Analyst Market Infrastructure Institution / Financial Sector Regulator Consultancy in fund-related activities (deal due diligence, transaction advisory, etc.) Note: Consultancy experience will be considered for a maximum of 2 years.
