Role Summary: Evaluating undergraduate applications involves assessing the applicant’s writing skills, thought process, and suitability for the program they are applying to at Ahmedabad. School Teachers will be given preference for this role. Responsibilities: Review and assess Undergraduate Admissions applications for various programmes offered by Ahmedabad University Understand Ahmedabad University’s liberal education philosophy and explore applications that align in principle Analyse student marksheets, curricular and extra-curricular achievements, read personal statements, short essays and other available material to develop summary statements of each applicant. Work closely with other team members in the Office of Undergraduate Admission and Financial Aid to develop a deeper understanding of each applicant. Offer insights to the Admissions Policy Committee (as required) to support the admissions process. Contribute additionally to support the entire admissions process across the student selection life cycle. Conduct informational sessions to help prospective students understand the value of our interdisciplinary curriculum. Use data and insights to evaluate and refine outreach strategies and effectiveness Support the design and implementation of communications – emails, presentations, and digital content – that reflect the University's unique academic philosophy Coordinate and contribute to campus-based events such as open houses, campus tours and major-specific open houses Key Skills: High proficiency in operating a laptop, MS Office and other word packages Excellent English reading and writing skills Excellent interpersonal, organisation and communication skills, including public speaking Professional demeanour and friendly/congenial personality A flexible approach and the ability to influence others Qualification: Graduate in English Literature, communications, public relations, social sciences or related fields with relevant experience. 5 – 10 years of relevant experience
